Kiel is known far beyond national borders for its unique location, its maritime economy and its marine research. This gives it a special responsibility for its role in marine protection. Kiel is facing up to the task with a variety of means. For example, a concept is to be developed to better network the existing competencies, institutions and actors. Therefore, DSN was commissioned to identify the actors involved in marine protection and to develop a database.
