CAPTN Future picks up speed: As a finalist in the future cluster competition of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the Kiel consortium has now submitted its full proposal - and hopes to receive funding totaling 45 million euros over a nine-year period. CAPTN Future, together with 15 other German clusters, prevailed in a first round against 137 other competitors. Now it is up to the seven winning regions. CAPTN Future aims to establish an integrated inner-city mobility chain with autonomous and clean means of transport - both on land and on water.
The future cluster is managed by the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel in cooperation with the Kiel University of Applied Sciences and Muthesius University of the Arts Kiel as well as numerous partners from industry. DSN coordinated the application phase and supported the application.
