Multigenerational house in Raisdorf

Drei Generationen einer Familie sitzen im Gras und lachen in die Kamera.

Against the background of demographic and socio-economic developments in Germany, the need for intergenerational concepts is becoming increasingly clear. As a pioneering example, the keyword of the "multi-generational homes" is often mentioned. These include housing for young and old and/or serve as meeting places and open days as a space for mutual meetings and support between the generations. They should lead to overcoming the isolation between the age groups and more tolerance and understanding for one another. In addition, you can enable the support of children, advising families and more civic engagement and thereby give a new task to the elderly.

The town Raisdorf (district Plön) is planning a multigenerational house that should keep the local childcare, daily meeting point etc. "under one roof". In order to create a basis for this, the municipality has commissioned DSN, Silver Life Concept and BSP Architects to develop a feasibility study.
DSN has thereby examines the following issues - related to Raisdorf, its surrounding communities, the neighbour town Preetz and in the district of Plön:

  • Demographic development 1996-2006
  • Development of immigration and emigration (net migration)
  • Development of number and structure of residential buildings, apartments and apartment types
  • Changes in the number of social insurance contributions and unemployment
