In the region 'Südholstein' health enjoys a high priority. The health care industry offers an above-average number of jobs. Health tourism is realigned and promoted by the centre of excellence in health tourism Bad Bramstedt. The natural resources are increasingly being used by health tourism aspects. Projects in the field of health promotion are implemented in many facilities such as day care centres, schools and businesses. However, there is no clear presentation and the development of common objectives to activate the people of the region is also lacking.

The aim of the assignment was to develop a common vision, which takes up the trends in the region, is understandable for the citizens in the region, has potential for identification, and offers health professional actors added value. Finally, the profile of the region should be strengthened externally. (Extract from the tender)

For this purpose DSN developed a strategic and implementation-oriented concept for the development of the health sector in Südholstein.
