The spatial development policy responds on national and international level on new political, social and spatial planning challenges (demographic change, globalisation, climate change, increasing space polarisation) by adjusting their policy goals and strategies.
As a strategic approach, the model of "large-scale responsibilities communities" was developed in Germany. This approach is considered as an innovative tool between towns, cities and rural growth regions as well as peripheral and structurally weak areas to implement on a "development and compensation planning policy".
DSN has received the order to develop a strategy paper that shows how core areas and rural areas in partnership cooperation work project-related together and can strengthen the competitiveness of the whole region.
