Ralf Duckert is the managing director of DSN. He has over 20 years of experience in regional strategy development, EU project management and regional, national and international cooperation. Ralf Duckert has extensive experience in the moderation of stakeholder, steering and management groups. After studying economics at the Kiel University, he worked in various positions for public clients and management consultancies. Ralf Duckert is, among other things, a member of the Economics Club at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and a regular guest at the "Kieler Salon".

Rebecca Bährle Wunsch is a true marine biologist with a wealth of expertise - a real asset to the DSN Maritime sector.

Rebecca came to the Baltic Sea from the deep south of Germany (Kassel) to study. Afterwards, the Master of Science took up a doctoral position at GEOMAR and is now in the final stages of her doctoral thesis on bacteria that convert carbon dioxide in the seabed.

Lisa-Marie Freundel works at DSN, particularly in the management of regional networks. When many people with different interests come together, Lisa's structured approach ensures that all needs are considered. The involvement of various interest groups, including citizens, is particularly important to her.

This is the strength of the urban and regional developer, who wrote her master's thesis on ‘Social engagement in multi-local living situations’ during her time at Christian Albrecht University in Kiel.

Daniel Klose works at DSN since 2006 and has been the main author of numerous studies since then. His ability to derive qualified statements from large amounts of information and data forms the framework of our analyses, evaluations and strategies. He also stays on top of the things when it comes to project applications for funding programmes. Daniel Klose completed his studies at the Kiel University with the focus on spatial and socioeconomic data analysis.

Britt Lorenzen manages complex networks and cooperation projects at DSN. She attaches particular importance to defining responsibilities and tasks as well as clarity of roles in projects.

Britt Lorenzen has worked for over 15 years in senior positions in human resources development in the education and health sectors. She was a process facilitator for the ‘Sustainable Corporate Culture’ audit and is an accredited Systemic Management Coach (SMC)®. 
Britt studied language teaching research with a focus on intercultural communication at the University of Hamburg.

Claus Löding supports DSN as a working student in projects and networks related to regional development.
His broad specialist knowledge, his playful approach to all IT programmes and his infectious cheerfulness make him an important part of the DSN team. 
Claus is studying for a master's degree in Urban and Regional Development at the Kiel University and completed an internship at DSN before joining the company.

Simon Reitz is our man for all questions about hardware and software. He develops databases, SharePoints and other online applications.He also maintains our IT-infrastructure. From 2012 to 2015 Simon Reitz completed his training as an IT Administrator at DSN.

"I use my years of IT experience to help my colleagues work effectively, which also helps move DSN forward as a company."

Gesine Stück is responsible for strategy and planning of communication processes. Especially in international projects, she aligns communication with the needs of stakeholders and funders, media and partners. Her areas of experience are accordingly diverse: print and online publications, workshops and congresses. Since 2018, she has been a Systemic Management Coach (SMC)®. Born in Berlin, Gesine Stück completed her journalism studies at the Free University in Berlin. Gesine Stück has gained professional experience as an editor and speechwriter as well as in public relations and workshop moderation.

Benjamin Schmidt is our reliable support at all levels. He primarily takes care of the office organisation, but also helps a lot with the preparation of events.
Benjamin completed his secondary school leaving certificate at RBZ Schützenpark in the technical field. After completing his one-year entry-level qualification, he began training as an office management assistant at DSN in August 2025.

Theresa Theuerkauf supports DSN in corporate communication and the internal marketing strategy. She studies Public Relations and Corporate Communication at the University of Applied Sciences in Kiel.

Julia Voß has many years of experience in public relations. She uses her expertise and skills to develop creative communication measures for specific target groups. As a project manager, she steers international consortia with a sure hand.

After completing a master's degree of Cultural Anthropology, Art History and Sociology at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Julia worked for several years in museums in Northern Germany. Her joy of writing and communicating took her then into the political field, where she has worked at local, state and European Levels.
